General Features


CIP CLEANING CENTER is mainly characterized by storing, distributing and circulating its own chemical cleaning solutions at controlled concentrations and temperatures for a certain period of time. These parameters are precisely determined based on the type of product that circulates along the line.

The control system developed by EDELSTAHL determines and reproduces the time, concentration, flow and conductivity of each cleaning and rinsing stage, constantly informing and recording the input and output variables of the system.

Food and pharmaceutical products require greater care with bacteriological and sensorial aspects. In this way the CIP must guarantee complete removal of residues and an efficient bactericidal action.


Available Models


Our CIP Plants are developed in three models, according to the needs of our customers. They range from simple demands to large plants.

Template Description
Basic Semi-automatic, with fixed microprocessor-type temperature controllers for simpler applications.
Superior Automatic, with programmable logic controller, SLC type of expandable capacity and can be integrated with process control.
Advanced Automatic, with programmable logic controller, SLC type of expandable capacity and can be integrated with process control. Monitor (HMI) allowing online visualization of the process.

More and more the lati- nist industries require greater care with bacteriological and sensorial aspects. For this the CIP must guarantee total removal of residues and an efficient bactericidal action.

These parameters, as well as the solutions used for cleaning and rinsing steps, should be controlled precisely on the basis of the type of product circulating along the line.

For this it is indispensable to apply a control system (software + hardware), efficient to control the basic parameters of a cleaning, which are:



The time, temperature, and detergent concentration of the solution of each stage being circulated must be monitored and controlled by the system constantly so that no manual intervention is required.

Increasingly, CIP Compact Modules are being used as they are ideal for small and medium-sized industries and industries whose processes are extremely distant physically, making it difficult to install a single CIP, in which case the modules are distributed in the plant as required. These modules capture the cleaning solutions of a common tank and place them in circulation, whereby only the area covered by each module is restricted. The control of operations can be carried out in a central or separately located in each module.

The small and medium-sized industries are able, through a low-cost project, to standardize the cleaning system guaranteeing its efficiency, thus taking place a sensible saving in time and labor.

CIP with recovery presents low consumption of water and heat by the cleaning solution due to the multiple use and is ideal for solutions with high concentrations of detergent. The CIP without recovery uses solutions free of previous rinse residues and requires a lower initial investment.
